On Earth, only one power exists: the Federation - a global superdemocracy. Those in charge, however, are not in touch with the needs of the people they represent. The federation have therefore inadvertently allowed the creation and development of ESCorp, a group which now has a monopoly on vast segments of the economy.
In particular, ESCorp has a monopoly on the extraction of minerals in space - which is an extremely lucrative activity, especially when it is carried out by prisoners serving their sentence as authorised by the Federation. ESCorp lobbies intensively to protect and strengthen their private interests.
This situation has led to a group of anarchists, operating under the name of FURI, resorting to terrorist activity. Mainly targeting ESCorp interests and federation officials they consider complicit in this controversial activity.

What Everybody Ought to Know About AlphaSIN
You don’t know about AlphaSIN yet? Well here’s the scoop. AlphaSIN is Motion Twin’s latest project and it will also be one of the very first browser games to use Flash3D. AlphaSIN combines strategy and exploration, combat and cooperation to create a genuinely ground-breaking gaming experience!
AlphaSIN is set in a universe where Earth is ruled by a global superdemocracy known as the Federation, and the status quo is threatened by FURI - a group of intergalactic anarchists, determined to put an end to ESCorp and their immoral exploitation of precious minerals in the Alpha galaxy. You will start your own SIN (Syndicated Independent Network) and join up to two more SINs belonging to other players to share skills and resources. Exploring vast galaxies and solar-systems is only the beginning.
AlphaSIN is truly different in that as soon as it is playable, you will be able to play it. We will add content and functionality as we go, building the game over time. There will be no end of development date, because AlphaSIN will allow players to code their own tools (and sell them in-game) which means that long after the game is ‘ready’, content will still be coded by the community itself!
